Partner programme

Your clients already ask you payroll questions.

At month-end. Unbilled. Carrying your professional risk. Put them on CromaHR instead, you keep the relationship, the questions stop, and you earn recurring commission for as long as they stay.

No joining fee. No exclusivity. No minimums at Introducer level.

The problem you already have

Payroll is work you do for free.

How much is SHIF now? Why did NSSF change? My employee is disputing their PAYE. Can you generate P9s for forty staff by Friday, and also it's Thursday.

You answer because the client trusts you. But the work is unbillable, it arrives exactly when you're busiest, and if the numbers are wrong it's your name attached. Meanwhile the client keeps running payroll in a spreadsheet that has no idea the law changed in February.

The CromaHR Partner Programme turns that unpaid burden into a revenue line.

Recurring, not one-off

Commission is paid every month the client subscribes, not a single finder's fee that you spend once and forget.

Zero delivery burden

Croma handles onboarding, data migration, support and statutory updates. You keep the client relationship and none of the work.

It protects your core work

Clean, auditable payroll data means faster year-end, fewer adjusting entries, and considerably fewer awkward audit findings.

The economics

What this is actually worth.

Illustrative, based on the Professional tier at $9.98 per employee per month. KES shown at an indicative 129 to the dollar.

PortfolioTotal seatsYou earn / monthPer yearPer year (KES)
5 clients150$374$4,491KES 579,300
10 clients300$749$8,982KES 1,158,700
25 clients750$1,871$22,455KES 2,896,700
50 clients1,500$3,743$44,910KES 5,793,400

Certified Reseller tier at 25%, ongoing, assuming an average client size of 30 employees. Figures are illustrative and depend on tier, client size and retention. Actual commission is governed by the executed Croma Partner Agreement.

This is annuity income, not project income. A client signed in year one is still paying you in year four, and the portfolio grows on top of itself rather than resetting every January.

How it works

From introduction to commission in five steps.

Register the client

Submit the name through your partner manager. Confirmed within one working day, and it protects your claim for 90 days.

We qualify and demo

Croma runs a free compliance check with the client. You're welcome to attend. It opens the conversation without you having to sell anything.

Trial and migration

Free trial, free data migration, and a parallel payroll so the client can verify our numbers against theirs.

Client subscribes

They sign directly with Croma. Your commission activates on the account from the first invoice.

You get paid

Quarterly in arrears on collected revenue, with an itemised statement. Your dashboard shows live seat counts and accruals.

Your time commitment, realistically

One introduction email, and optionally one meeting you attend. Everything downstream is Croma's job.

What you get

The kit, on day one.

Commercial tools

Co-branded client one-pager with your firm's logo, the full product catalogue, proposal decks for CEO, CFO and HR conversations, and a pricing calculator so you can quote on the spot.

Enablement

A 20-minute induction, a certification pathway for Reseller-tier staff, access to the full how-to video library, and a quarterly statutory briefing across all supported countries.

Ongoing support

A named partner manager on WhatsApp during business hours, deal registration and commission statements, and Croma attending joint client meetings as your technical resource.

Fit

Is this right for your firm?

This works well if you're

  • An accounting or audit practice serving 15+ SME clients
  • An HR consultancy or employment law advisory
  • A payroll bureau or BPO still processing manually
  • A company secretarial or corporate services firm
  • An ERP or IT reseller with an SME install base

Probably not a fit if

  • Your clients are mostly sole traders or under five staff
  • You want a one-off referral fee rather than a relationship
  • You'd rather not disclose the arrangement to your clients

On that last point, we expect partners to disclose the commercial relationship. It's the professionally correct position, and in practice it costs nothing. Clients assume it anyway.

Apply

Joining takes about a week.

A 30-minute intro call, a short agreement with no fee and no exclusivity, then portal access and your kit. Most partners register their first client within a fortnight.

Your clients ask you payroll questions you don't want to answer. Give them CromaHR, keep the visibility, earn fifteen per cent recurring.

Partner questions

What firms ask before signing.

How and when is commission paid?

Quarterly in arrears, within 30 days of quarter end, calculated on net subscription revenue actually collected. You get an itemised statement with every payment, in USD or KES at your election.

What protects my claim on a client?

Deal registration. Submit the client name and it's confirmed within one working day, valid for 90 days. If Croma is already in conversation with that business we'll tell you straight away rather than after the fact.

Do I have to sell anything?

Not at Introducer level. Make the introduction and Croma does the rest, qualification, demo, migration, support. At Reseller level you position and sell, which is why the commission is higher and lasts the life of the account.

What if a client cancels?

Commission stops when their subscription does. Clawback applies only where a refund or chargeback happens within 60 days of payment, not for ordinary churn later on.

Is there any cost or commitment?

None at Introducer level, no joining fee, no minimum volume, no exclusivity. Reseller tier asks for two certified staff and four closed accounts a year. Bureau tier requires a minimum of 200 seats and an annual commitment.

Can I white-label it?

Under the Managed Bureau tier, yes, you deliver payroll under your own service wrapper and your own pricing, with CromaHR as the engine underneath.

How do we get started as a partner?

Sign up online, complete a 20-minute induction, and you are live. We provide co-branded marketing materials, a certification pathway for your staff and access to the full product library. Your first client can be referred the same day.

Do you provide demo environments for client presentations?

Yes. Partners get a sandbox environment with sample data across all supported countries, so you can show a Kenyan payroll run, a Ugandan statutory calculation and a Tanzanian compliance report in the same demo. No need to build your own test data.

What support do partners receive?

Direct access to our partner success team via WhatsApp and email, a quarterly statutory briefing covering changes in all supported countries, and priority routing on any client issue you escalate. Reseller and Bureau tiers also get a named account manager.
